Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Campo al Mare Bolgheri DOC Magnum 1,5 ℓ, In Holzkiste

The Bolgheri Rosso Campo al Mare by Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari was born in the vineyards of the homonymous estate, located in the Livorno municipality of Castagneto Carducci, near the sea. This wine derives from the best grapes of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, harvested between the first and second half of September. After maceration, fermentation takes place in stainless steel, and subsequently the wine is placed in French oak barrels, where it matures for about 12 months, then it is refined in the bottle for at least another 3 months. In the glass it has a beautiful intense ruby red color with purple hues, while on the nose it has aromas of small red fruits, enriched by nuances of licorice and notes of wood at the end. In the mouth it is full, velvety, very drinkable and with a pleasant and long final persistence. An ideal Bolgheri Rosso with white and red wines, which we recommend you also try in combination with medium-aged cheeses.
