Der Grand Vin ist untypisch für Pauillac, denn der sehr hohe Merlot-Anteil von bis zu 35 % nimmt dem Wein die Tanninhärte und macht ihn vergleichsweise früh trinkbar. Er verkörpert einen Stil, der vielmehr durch dunkle Frucht, intensive Erdigkeit und eine hohe Mineralität gekennzeichnet ist.
