In the background floats a delicate note of violets and dried rose petals, which rounds off the powerful core with a charming floral nuance. On the palate, the wine is dry, dense and yet elegantly guided. The cuvée of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc combines a velvety mouthfeel with a distinctive structure. Merlot contributes richness, ripe fruit and soft tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon provides backbone, length and fine cassis spice. Cabernet Franc adds cool herbal notes and freshness. The tannins are precise, coming across as ripe, polished and pleasantly gripping. The acidity remains lively, carries the dark fruit and creates tension. The body appears powerful and at the same time harmonious. The texture is silky and dense, with a hint of creamy richness on the mid-palate. Impressions of black cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry flow into notes of cocoa, bittersweet chocolate, a touch of mocha and fine roasted aromas. A hint of licorice and juniper lends the wine a distinctive, spicy vein. The finish is long, precise and persistent. In the end, cassis, tobacco, cedarwood and a delicate, mineral streak remain on the tongue. The wine owes its distinctive style to its origins in Alto Adige.
