Due to its present fruit acid, the MP Grauburgunder is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of apricot and peach show. Vinification of the Markus Pfaffmann MP Grauburgunder This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Pinot Gris. Only immaculate grapes were harvested for this exceptionally elegant single-varietal wine from Markus Pfaffmann. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for the MP Grauburgunder are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the MP Grauburgunder can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months. It is perfect as a companion to potato pan with salmon, cabbage roulades or wok vegetables with fish.
