After some time in the glass, this Old World red wine offers wonderfully expressive aromas of blackberry, mulberry, blueberry and raisins, rounded off by dark chocolate, gingerbread spice and oriental spices contributed by the maturation in wooden casks. This Portuguese wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. Vinification of Cabriz Tinto Reserva The basis for the well-balanced Tinto Reserva from Beiras consists of grapes of the Aragones, Alfrocheiro and Touriga Nacional varieties. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 9 months in French oak barrels.
