The Irpinia Aglianico DOC belonging to the crus of the Linea di Pregio di Nativ, Blu Onice comes from a single vineyard at 600 meters above sea level, in the Irpinia municipality of Gesualdo, on a rocky ground located near an ancient onyx quarry. whose extracted stones are characterized by a yellow color and singular blue streaks that give the wine its name. The harvest of Aglianico grapes only takes place between the end of October and the first days of November. A pre-macerative phase carried out at low temperatures is followed by a fermentation with maceration of about 20 days. The wine ages for 14 months in French oak barriques. Ruby red wine, it pleases the nose with pleasant spicy notes and Taurasi Maiatica cherry. In the mouth it is soft and fruity, with great balance. Ideal in combination with grilled meats, it is perfect with blue cheeses.
