Barolo Riserva is produced by the Batasiolo company, owned by the Dogliani family, which has been producing wine in the Langhe for over 4 decades. The company produces several Barolos from some of the most prestigious crus, such as Cerequio, Bussia, Brunate, Briccolina, Boscareto. The Nebbiolo grapes are destemmed and fermented with maceration on the skins for at least 10-12 days in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with periodic pumping over. Subsequently the wine ages in Slavonian oak barrels for at least 18 months and subsequently in stainless steel tanks, to continue in the bottle. Intense garnet red in color, it expresses intense aromas of jam, dried fruit on the nose, with ethereal and toasted notes. The sip is structured, elegant, with silky tannins and a long persistence. Ideal in combination with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
