In the Western Cape, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on granite and clay soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house without delay. There, they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Three Pines Syrah is aged for a further 22 months in French oak barrels.
