Shiraz - Golden Kaan
Shiraz - Golden KaanThe Shiraz from Golden Kaan from the Western Cape shows a dense, purple-red color in the glass. The initial nose of this Shiraz reveals plums, damsons and morello cherries. Notes from barrel aging such as dark chocolate, black tea and cocoa bean join the fruity aspects of the bouquet. Golden Kaan Shiraz presents itself to the wine lover as pleasantly dry. This red wine never appears rough or lean, but rather round and smooth. On the palate, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. Thanks to its balanced acidity, the Shiraz caresses the palate with a pleasing mouthfeel, without lacking juicy vibrancy at the same time. The finish of this youthful red wine from the Western Cape wine-growing region, more precisely from the Western Cape, finally delights with a good aftertaste. Vinification of the Shiraz from Golden Kaan The powerful Shiraz from South Africa is a varietal wine made from the Shiraz grape. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the winery without delay. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures follows. After fermentation is complete, the Shiraz is matured for another 9 months in French oak barrels. Food recommendation for Golden Kaan Shiraz with boiled veal topside with beans and tomatoes, goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram, or lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs. Awards for the Shiraz from Golden Kaan This wine from the Western Cape not only excites us; renowned wine critics have already awarded it medals.
