It was bottled with only 2.1 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range, this Austrian naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. Balanced and complex, this silky and dense red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Zweigelt Klassik flatters the palate with a soft feeling, without at the same time lacking juicy liveliness. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria, more precisely from Wagram, finally impresses with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by sand and loess. Vinification of the Zweigelt Klassik from Leth The basis for the balanced Zweigelt Klassik from Lower Austria are grapes from the Zweigelt grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand and loess. After the grape harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully milled. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
