Vinification for the Ansela van de Caab from Muratie Estate This red wine cuvée from Stellenbosch, Coastal Region, is vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The grapes for this wine were all carefully harvested, pressed and fermented in classic open fermenters. The subsequent malolactic fermentation took place in French oak barrels. After 16 months of aging in wood, the grape varieties were tasted separately and blended into a cuvée. This cuvée was then put into French oak barrels for another 6 months to achieve an ideal blending of these grape varieties.
