On the nose, this Gran Cru from Livon develops a dense, expansive bouquet with spicy aromas; on the palate, it is warm and appealing, full-bodied, with a great structure, elegance and complexity that literally develops in the glass as the temperature changes. Long, persistent, multi-layered finish. Vinification of the Braide Alte Bianco Delle Venezie IGT from Livon This multi-award-winning white wine is produced as a Gran Cru. The grapes for this cuvée grow in the Braide vineyard near Ruttars in the municipality of Dolegna del Collio in eastern Friuli, on clayey marl soils of oceanic origin. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Picolit and Moscato Giallo are vinified for this Gran Cru. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, brought to the wine cellar in small crates and cold macerated in the horizontal press for eight hours, after which the must is clarified by natural decantation. Fermentation then takes place entirely in French Allier barriques at a controlled temperature of 14° - 16°C. The wine is then aged in the same barrels for eight months at a constant temperature. After the formation of the cuvée from the different wines, it is bottled and matures and harmonizes for a long period in the bottle before it is released for sale. The Gran Cru Braide Alte can be stored for 10 to 15 years.
