5/2/2017 Martin WINE ADVOCATE (NEAL MARTIN) : The 2016 Clos Floridene has a rich and decadent bouquet with just a touch of volatile acidity marking the black fruit, perhaps some Merlot that was picked a couple of days too late? The palate is very sweet and a little cloying, low acidity with a simple finish. Clos Floridene can be a fine Graves, but this sample was difficult to read. 4/28/2017 Quarin JEAN-MARC QUARIN (JEAN-MARC QUARIN) : 16 / 20 Le meilleur jamais fait avec 2015 ! Couleur sombre, intense et belle. Nez moyennement aromatique, fruité, mûr, floral avec une touche originale de violette. Bouche suave, au toucher fin, avec de l’éclat dans le goût et une très belle finale sèveuse et longue aux tanins un brin « minéraux ». Ce vin a un début de bouche de Rive Gauche et une finale de Rive Droite. 4/26/2017 Vinous VINOUS (ANTONIO GALLONI) : 87-89 / 100 The 2016 Clos Floridène is an attractive Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend from the Dubourdieu family's vineyards in Graves. Black cherry, smoke, bittersweet chocolate, licorice and dark spices are all pushed forward. The 2016 is a bit more tannic and less plush than it usually is, but it is attractive nonetheless. 4/10/2017 Wine Spectator WINE SPECTATOR (JAMES MOLESWORTH) : 89-92 / 100 Ripe, with black cherry and plum sauce flavors, backed by a solid tarry edge.
