Only the best grape material was brought in for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Martin Waßmer. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Baden. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of loam and loess. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Grauer Burgunder Markgräflerland are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machinery. After the grape harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Pinot Gris Markgräflerland is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
