Intense, full nose with typical aromas of black fruits and balsamic notes that intensify with a little aeration. Fine hints of liquorice, soft and open on the finish, with a successful interplay between bitter spiciness and velvety tannins. 80% Sangiovese, 10% each Ciliegiolo and Montepulciano. Aged for 18 months in wooden barrels, some large, some barrique, some new, some used.
