
Chardonnay Pays d'Oc - Les JamellesLes Jamelles Chardonnay is an elegant, balanced and varietal white wine from the French wine-growing region of Languedoc-Roussillon. In the glass, this wine shines in a brilliant golden yellow. The bouquet smells seductively of green apple, yellow pear and fine white flowers. On the palate, this French white wine flatters with a velvety smooth texture and flavors of juicy pears, apple and pineapple. Subtle melting notes of hazelnuts complement the subtle vanilla note. The delicate acidity is perfectly integrated into the full-bodied, creamy body. A powerful white wine with a pleasant finish. Vinification of the Les Jamelles Chardonnay The Chardonnay grapes grow in Cevennes foothills, Hérault plain, Aude valley and Limoux area on 15-year-old vines in terraced arrangement. This white wine is fermented for 35% in oak barrels (new wood as well as one year old) for 3 weeks. Then this Chardonnay is aged for 9 months in lees in barrels with regular stirring of the lees (bâtonnage). This wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. The remaining 65% undergoes alcoholic fermentation as well as aging in stainless steel tanks. This wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation.
