Lucter AOC - Châtau de Haute-SerreWith the Châtau de Haute-Serre Lucter, a top-quality red wine enters the crystal-clear glass. It presents a wonderfully bright, purple-red color. With a slight tilt, the wine glass reveals a charming garnet hue at the edges. With some time in the glass, this Old World red wine shows wonderfully noble and complex aromas of violet and blackberry, rounded off with additional fruity nuances. The Châtau de Haute-Serre Lucter tastes pleasantly dry. It has been bottled with exceptionally low residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that clearly stands apart from simpler qualities and delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Taste does not necessarily require sugar. The finish of this mature red wine from the Sud-Ouest region, specifically from Cahors, ultimately impresses with a beautiful aftertaste. The aftertaste is also accompanied by mineral notes from the clay and loam-dominated soils. Vinification of the Châtau de Haute-Serre Lucter The balanced Lucter from France is a varietal wine, made from the Malbec grape. In Sud Ouest, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow in soils of clay and loam. After hand harvesting, the grapes are promptly brought to the winery. Here, they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Lucter can harmonize on its fine lees for several months. Food Pairing for the Châtau de Haute-Serre Lucter This red wine from France works perfectly as a companion wine to a variety of dishes but is also enjoyable when sipped solo.
