Beyer Ranch Zinfandel - Wente VineyardsFrom the grape varieties Zinfandel (80%) and Petite Sirah (20%), the full-bodied, round Beyer Ranch Zinfandel is vinified by Wente Vineyards from the American wine-growing region of California. In the glass, this wine shimmers a deep ruby red with purple highlights. The nose enjoys a spicy-fruity bouquet with aromas of wild berries (especially raspberry and blackberry), juicy cherries - elegantly underlined by freshly ground pepper and some oak spice. The flavors of the nose are also reflected on the palate and are perfectly supported by a full-bodied structure and round body. The tannins are wonderfully integrated and accompany into the long, beautiful finish. Vinification of the Wente Beyer Ranch Zinfandel After the harvest of the two grape varieties, the grapes are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks in the winery of Wente Vineyards. The must is left to ferment for two to three months. The mash is pumped over two or three times a day. Once the fermentation process is complete, this American red wine is aged in both stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. Food Recommendation for the Zinfandel Wente Beyer Ranch Enjoy this dry red wine from the USA with appetizers - such as tapas or antipasti - lamb skewers freshly grilled, or braised meat in dark sauce.
