Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC - Cantina TraminThe Chardonnay from Cantina Tramin comes into the glass with a bright greenish-yellow color and impresses with its delicately fruity bouquet, reminiscent of pineapple, bananas, apples and juicy pears. Citrus nuances, some caramel, vanilla and buttery nuances complement it. On the palate, the Chardonnay Alto Adige from Tramin is wonderfully grippy, juicy and pleasantly creamy. As it was matured entirely in stainless steel, the fruit of this South Tyrolean Chardonnay remains clearly in the foreground. The finish is elegantly mineral. Vinification of the Chardonnay from Cantina Tramin The grapes for this Chardonnay grow on calcareous, gravelly clay soils in hilly areas between 250 and 500 meters above sea level. After manual harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 19°C in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then matured in stainless steel and undergoes partial malolactic fermentation. Recommendation for the Chardonnay from Cantine Tramin This white wine from South Tyrol is perfect as an aperitif, with light cold and warm starters, fish dishes and mussels, as well as with subtly spiced poultry, veal or pork.
