94-96/100 PP The 2010 Nuits St. Georges Les Pruliers is wonderfully complete. All the elements that make the 2010s at this estate so striking are present in the glass. An open, expressive bouquet melds seamlessly into red fruit in this stunning wine. The finest, silkiest of tannins frame the fruit through to the supple, inviting finish. Veins of minerality give the Pruliers its focus and balance. Everything is simply in the right place. The Pruliers is made from two parcels of 50+ year-old vines. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030. (Antonio Galloni, robertparker.com) Our domain has been historically deeply attached to growing vines for 4 generations. We have the privilege of working a world-renowned terroir. Our expertise has its roots in tradition, but is also inspired by modern methods, pushing us naturally towards creating fine wines. The domain covers an area of 13 hectares of vines, mostly red Premier Crus (8). Guyot pruning is used. The final result is structured, fruity, elegant, fine and complex wines, made to be kept. (Domaine Robert Chevillon) Les Pruliers has a sustained colour. Young, it imposes its personality. Summer fruit flavours mingle with fine plant smells reminiscent of blackcurrant leaves and wild sloe, with liquorice and spicy rose notes in the background. When mature: fullness and roundness, underlined with a dash of liveliness, that try to hide more austere closing notes. Flavours of cocoa, smoked meat, creosote and undergrowth bouquet are then noticed. In great years, age gives it a generous and sensual sweetness. (Domaine Robert Chevillon)
