
Nus vi dolç Natural 0,375 l - Mas d'en GilThe Nus Vino Dulce Natural from Mas d'en Gil is an outstanding example of sweet red wine from the Priorat region, reflecting the rich winemaking tradition through its production from Garnatxa Negra, also known as Red Grenache. Often referred to as liquid chocolate, this wine is characterized by its notes of ripe fruit and a luxurious, sweet palate. The finish offers an impressive contrast with a certain acidity and freshness that invite further enjoyment. The Nus is a tribute to the traditional production of sweet red wines in Priorat from Garnatxa Negra. It is made from grapes from five different vineyards on the estate. The name Nus symbolizes the connection between these five wines. A large proportion of the grapes are dried in the sun on straw mats after being harvested from the vine. This wine was first produced in 1999 after eight years of experimental trials to achieve the perfect blend. The wine stands out for its deep, inviting color, typical of the Garnatxa Negra grape. The main grape variety is predominantly Red Grenache, grown on Llicorella terroir, which is composed of different types of slate. Maturation takes place for 18 months in 60-liter barrels, followed by approximately 12 months of bottle ageing. The Nus Vino Dulce Natural perfectly complements red fruits such as strawberries, which emphasize the acidity of the wine, or peach dishes typical of the Priorat region. It is an excellent accompaniment to desserts or chocolate with a hint of spices such as ginger or red pepper. We also recommend pairing it with blue cheeses such as Cabrales, Stilton or Fourme d'Ambert. After dinner, when guests are still lingering at the table, this wine is an excellent finale.
