The wine: Cuvée du Vatican - Côtes du Rhone by Jean-Marc Diffonty is full-bodied with a fruity and spicy aroma; its tannins are ripe but not overpowering. Typical of a Grenache, it is reminiscent of figs and prunes. Added to this are the robust aromas of Syrah, which bring the scent of the garrigue – the heathland of the Mediterranean region.
