Furmint - TriebaumerThe Furmint from Triebaumer enters the glass with a shiny straw yellow color and shows itself here as a compact, very melting representative of its grape variety. Aromas of Williams Christ pear, apple and pineapple can be guessed in the bouquet, plus some quince chutney. On the palate, the Triebaumer Furmit presents itself dry and vital with animating acidity, hearty and juicy. The taste shows a nice touch of sea buckthorn and some persimmon, as well as a subtle note of lemon. Vinification of the Triebaumer Furmint The grapes were harvested in mid-September and brought to the winery in small crates by hand selection. The grapes were picked from the Geyer-Umriss and Plachen sites. Only healthy material from the weathered slate is destemmed and the must, after gentle pressing, is fermented cooled in steel tanks at about 18°C for over 4 weeks. Food recommendation for the Triebaumer Furmint Enjoy this white wine from Austria at 7 to 9°C with roasted fish with vegetables and risotto or with fresh farmhouse bread with ripe Gouda. Awards for the Triebaumer Furmint from Günter + Regina Triebaumer The Triebaumer Furmit was awarded with a distinction, this would be: Falstaff - 91 points for 2021
