Balanced and complex, this dense, velvety and fleshy red wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of Dalmatia finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of plum and sour cherry. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the clay-dominated soils join in. Vinification of Plavac Mediterano by Pz Svirče This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, namely Plavac Mali. Only impeccable grape material was used for this exceptionally balanced varietal wine from Pz Svirče. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Dalmatia. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay. After hand harvesting, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for 24 months in oak barriques. Recommendation for Plavac Mediterano from Pz Svirče This red wine from Croatia is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce, veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes or ossobuco.
