Santa Cristina Cabernet Sauvignon DOC - ZenatoThe Santa Cristina Cabernet Sauvignon from Zenato is a full-bodied, very elegant and pure red wine from the Italian DOC Garda wine-growing region. In the glass, this wine shimmers a rich cherry red with garnet highlights. The multi-layered bouquet is dominated by ripe red berries (raspberry, redcurrant and some wild strawberry). There are also hints of cherry jam, vanilla and spices with a very subtle hint of cut grass. This Italian red wine skillfully fills the palate. The complex body is enveloped by a velvety-soft texture. The wonderful abundance of fruit is perfectly underlined by vanilla and licorice. The pleasant finish has a lingering length. Vinification of the Zenato Santa Cristina Cabernet Sauvignon The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are harvested from the end of September to the beginning of October. Once the grapes have arrived in the wine cellar, they are fermented in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks with regular pumping over. This red wine then matures for 18 months in new and used barriques. Once the barrel maturation is complete, this wine rests for 2-3 months in stainless steel tanks and for a further 5 to 6 months in the bottle to round off harmoniously. Wine recommendation for the Cabernet Sauvignon Zenato Santa Cristina This dry red wine from Italy is an excellent accompaniment to all kinds of game dishes in a dark sauce, steaks fresh from the grill or mature cheeses.
