Vinification of Francois Xavier Lambert Tradition Gigondas The basis for the powerful Tradition Gigondas from France are grapes from the Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Rhône Valley. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay, limestone and gravel. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in concrete and large wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of this process, the powerful Tradition Gigondas is matured for 24 months in French oak barrels.
