The grapes for this red wine from Germany, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully ground. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
