Negroamaro F - Cantine San MarzanoThe Negroamaro F from Cantine San Marzano in the Italian wine-growing region of Apulia is an outstanding, complex and full-bodied red wine. This wine has a dark purple color with a black core in the glass. The bouquet shines here with a density and reveals aromas of ripe blackberries. Notes of cherry jam and stewed plums are also clearly discernible and combine with hints of cocoa, cloves, cinnamon and thyme. The dense tannin structure caresses the palate with a silky texture. The fruit and spice aromas dominate here, balanced by a fine acidity. The full and dense body of this powerful wine also comes into its own. A very long finish rounds off the wine experience. Vinification of the San Marzano Negroamaro F The pure Negroamaro comes from autochthonous vines and an optimal location to emphasize fruit and depth. Low yields due to the limestone soil and hot winds from Africa ensure the healthy development of the grapes and promote the high quality of the vineyard. The rich winemaking tradition of the area around Taranto and San Marzano results in an abundance of indigenous grape varieties and therefore the opportunity to create many exciting, high-quality wines that are typical of the region. The grapes for the Negroamaro F are mainly harvested by hand in September. The final step in refining the wine is to age it for 12 months in French and Caucasian oak barrels. This allows its varietal tannins and fruit aromas to mature and work optimally. Wine recommendation for the Cantine San Marzano Negroamaro F The drinking temperature is 18°C. Enjoy this red wine from Italy on its own, unaccompanied by food or enjoy it with delicate starters, red meat, game and pecorino. <p
