Solarco Bianco Collio DOC - LivonThe bright golden yellow Solarco Bianco Collio DOC from Livon is a top cuvée made from Friulano and Ribolla Gialla. The intense bouquet is reminiscent of vanilla and fresh bread crust, while the fine, elegant palate blends the aromas of the bouquet with notes of apple, tropical fruit and acacia blossom. Vinification of the Solarco Bianco Collio DOC from Livon The grapes for this cuvée made from the two typical grape varieties from Friuli Friulano and Ribolla Gialla grow in the vineyards in the village of Ruttars in the municipality of Dolegna del Collio on marl soils with a proportion of loam and clay. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, the grapes are cold macerated in the horizontal press for eight hours and the must is clarified by natural decantation. 20% of the must is transferred to French Aliiers barriques for alcoholic fermentation, while the remaining 80% is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 10° to 12°C. The wine is then left to ferment in stainless steel vats. The wine then remains in the same vats and is matured at a constant temperature for around six months. Only at the end of this process are the wines brought together, bottled and then matured for a certain time in the bottle. The Solarco Collio DOC can be stored for up to 7 years.
