In the glass, this Valpolicella Classico is an intense ruby red, clear and translucent. The bouquet has aromas of red currant, sour cherry, cherries and plums, which lend the wine freshness and are mixed with mineral, vinous and vanilla notes. La Fabriseria shows a rich and balanced structure, concentrated and powerful tannins in combination with a lively acidity and alcohol content point to a long ageing potential. Vinification of the La Fabriseria Valpolicella Classico Superiore from the Tedeschi winery Originally, the red La Fabriseria was to be a wine with an international style, but then the Tedeschi family decided to keep its roots in the region. The cuvée consists of the grape varieties Corvina (35%), Corvinone and Rondinella (30% each) and 5% Oseleta. The grapes are harvested overripe in mid to late October, then simultaneously destemmed and pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place over 30 days at a controlled temperature, after which the wine is aged for 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels. It then matures for a further 6 months in the bottle after bottling. The La Fabriseria Valpolicella Classico Superiore is a wine with very good ageing potential.
