Meisterstück Cuveé trocken - Emil Bauer

Meisterstück Cuveé trocken - Emil BauerMeisterstück Cuveé trocken - Emil BauerThe barrel-aged Meisterstück Cuveé from the Pfalz winegrowing region shows a bright crimson red in the glass. After the first swirl, one can perceive a first-class balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out on the walls of the glass in a watery, syrupy or liqueur-like manner. This German cuvée reveals wonderfully expressive notes of blackberries, black currants, black cherries and plums in the glass. These are joined by hints of juniper, toasted barrique and garrigue. This red from Emil Bauer is a good choice for those who like it dry. However, it is never sparse or brittle, as one would expect from a wine in this price range. Balanced and multifaceted, this velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. The finale of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Palatinate, more precisely from Nußdorf, finally thrills with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by clay and loess. Vinification of the Meisterstück Cuveé by Emil Bauer The starting point for Emil Bauer's first-class and wonderfully balanced Meisterstück Cuveé is Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot grapes. In the Palatinate region, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay, limestone and loess. The fact that the Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has a very high influence on the ripening of the grapes. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly long and evenly ripened grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. The grapes for this red wine from Germany, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in large wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Meisterstück Cuveé is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Food recommendation for the Emil Bauer Meisterstück Cuveé This German wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to boeuf bourguignon, duck breast with snow peas or veal and onion casserole. Awards for the Meisterstück Cuveé from Emil Bauer This wine from Nußdorf convinces not only us, no also considerable wine evaluators prämierten it: Falstaff - 91 points Vinum - 87 points
