Vinification for the Ripanço VR by José Maria da Fonseca This cuvée is composed of Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Argonez grape varieties, whose vines are rooted in soils of sand, clay and loam. After the gentle harvest, the grapes are completely pressed and fermented for four days at 28°Celsius with full skin contact. This extracts maximum color and aroma. The wine is then aged for at least six months in new and used barrique barrels from France and the USA.
