This pure Nebbiolo starts out powerful and complex on the palate. This red wine is fleshy and full-bodied, with hints of dark chocolate before a very long finish. Vinification for the Barolo Campé DOCG from La Spinetta After the grapes are harvested, alcoholic fermentation takes place for 7 to 8 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels, which lasts around 24 months. Before bottling, this red wine is placed in stainless steel tanks for 9 months, followed by refinement in the bottle for a further 12 months. No filtration or clarification takes place before bottling.
