Cabernet Sauvignon - SpottswoodeThe Cabernet Sauvignon from Spottswoode in California offers a dense, ruby red color in the glass. At the edges, there is also a color transition to garnet red. Swirling the glass, this red wine reveals a high level of density and richness, which can be seen in the strong stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. This wine shows wonderfully expressive notes of redcurrant, blackberry, sour cherry and blueberry in the glass. There are also hints of blueberry and blackcurrant. This wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine from the Icon wine segment, this North American naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Taste does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. On the finish, this mature wine from the California region finally delights with its beautiful length. Once again, there are hints of blackberry. Vinification of the Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon This powerful red wine from the USA is made from the Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grape varieties. After harvesting, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off. Dining recommendation for the Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon This North American wine works perfectly as an accompaniment to a variety of dishes, but is also a pleasure to drink on its own.</p
