Spumante Brut Rose Il Vigliacco - Az.Agr. Buglioni SA

In the summer of 1993, the Buglioni family, a long-established family of restaurateurs, fulfilled a long-held dream and acquired an old farmstead with five hectares of vineyards and olive groves. Today, the size of the business has multiplied, but all the vineyards owned by the Buglionis are located in the original zone of the Valpolicella Classico region, i.e. the hilly zone east of Lake Garda with the best locations in the Sant'Ambrogio plateau and the San Pietro valley. Il Vigliacco means something like the scaredy-cat and is a reference to the decision of the Valpolicella Consortium at the time not to process the fine Molinara grape in Valpolicella any more. After a light pressing, the fresh must spends 48 hours on the mash and is fermented for 15 days. The sparkling wine is fermented for 30 days using the Charmat/Martinotti method. The wine proves to be an ideal food companion as it is very fruity, delicate and playful on the palate. Color: strong salmon pink. Aroma: gentle, fruity, with floral notes. Taste: fruity, refreshingly dry.
