Barolo DOCG Via Nuova - E. Pira & Figli, Chiara Boschis

Via Nuova was the name of a small vineyard near the center of Barolo. Its name derives from the proximity of the road (rebuilt in the last century) that connected Barolo with Novello. Today all that remains of this road is a path through the vineyards that can be walked. For years it was vinified in its pure form until the municipality of Barolo, during the reorganization of additional geographical indications (which came into force in 2010), decided to incorporate it into a larger sub-zone called Terlo. With the abolition of this tiny cru, Chiara Boschis, as a tribute to tradition, has started the Barolo Via Nuova with grapes from Terlo and Liste from the municipality of Barolo, Gabutti and Baudana from the municipality of Serralunga d'Alba, Ravera di Monforte and Mosconi from the municipality of Monforte d'Alba. Color: bright garnet red. Scent: ethereal, persistent, with floral and fruity notes. Taste: dry, spicy and harmonious, soft but austere, full and persistent
