Private Cuvée Brut - ZardettoThe Private Cuvée Brut from the pen of Zardetto from Veneto presents a brilliant, golden yellow color in the wine glass. The bubbles of this sparkling wine are consistent and fine in the glass. Poured into a sparkling wine glass, this sparkling wine from the Old World presents wonderfully expressive aromas of apricot, jasmine, vineyard peach and pear, rounded off with yeast plait, cream toffee and brioche. The Private Cuvée Brut is particularly light on the palate thanks to its pleasant residual sweetness of 12 grams per liter. On the tongue, this light-footed sparkling wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, the Private Cuvée Brut flatters the palate with a velvety feel without lacking in juicy liveliness. The finish of this spumante from the Veneto wine-growing region is delightfully long. There are again hints of quince and mirabelle plum. Mineral notes from the limestone and clay-dominated soil are added to the finish. Vinification of the Private Cuvée Brut from Zardetto The basis for the elegant Private Cuvée Brut from Italy is grapes from the varieties 25% Chardonnay, 60% Glera and 15% Moscato. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Veneto. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into clay and limestone soils. After manual harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation of the base wines. Once the cuvée has been blended, it is aged using the Charmat method. The Zardetto Private Cuvée Brut then matures for several months in the bottle and is finally disgorged. Once the wine is finished, the Private Cuvée Brut is carefully harmonized. Dining recommendations for Zardetto Private Cuvée Brut This sparkling wine from Italy is best enjoyed well-chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompaniment to chickpea curry, vegetable stew with pesto or pasta with sausage dumplings.
