Bosco del Merlo Pietris Friuli DOC Friulano 0,75 ℓ

The Friulano Pietris by Bosco del Merlo is born in Sequals, in a hilly area at 270 meters above sea level, enclosed between the Meduna river and the Cosa stream. The name Pietris , from the Friulian pietra , celebrates the skeletal and stony nature of the Sequals soils, in which the claps reflect heat and light during the day, contributing to the marked temperature variations at night that enrich the expressiveness of the grapes, creating ideal conditions for the cultivation of this native Friulian vine. In the cellar, the grapes are delicately pressed to obtain only the free-run must, which is subjected to static decantation before fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature. The wine then ages for four months on its own yeasts, with periodic batonnage, which contributes to enriching its aromatic profile and giving it greater structure and complexity. It has a bright yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose it reveals aromas of peach, white flowers and a typical vegetal note accompanied by a hint of almond. In the mouth it is fresh, savory and well structured, with a characteristic bitter almond finish that underlines the authenticity of the grape variety. It pairs perfectly with delicate fish-based dishes, vegetable omelettes or white meats, and is also excellent with San Daniele raw ham.
