Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato La Tradizione by Montalbera is sourced from the hills of Castagnole Monferrato, in the heart of Piedmont. The fermentation takes place in steel, with permanence of over 10-12 days on its skins. The wine ages in stainless steel and then in bottle for another 3 months. It has a bright red colour with purple hues that turns garnet with ageing. The nose offers intense and fragrant notes of rose and violet petals, leaving space for elegant spicy hints at a later date. In the mouth it is warm and harmonious, pleasantly balanced, with delicate and soft tannins that complete the body. A table wine, it is excellent with first courses based on stuffed pasta and second courses with meat, especially with cotechino.
