The Montefalco Sagrantino from Villa Filicaja originates from the extraordinary region of Montefalco, in the heart of Umbria.It is made exclusively from Sagrantino grapes, all hand-picked. The wine is matured in barriques for 12 months. Subsequently, after a brief period in stainless steel tanks, it is further aged in the bottle for an additional 26 months.This Montefalco Sagrantino is distinguished by its ruby red colour. On the nose, it opens with an intense bouquet, offering rich aromas of red fruits, enhanced by pleasant spicy notes and delicate hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is pleasantly powerful and bold, with a strong tannic concentration.Perfect for accompanying roasts and game, it is also ideal with first courses and aged cheeses.
