I Clivi Venezia Giulia IGP Schioppettino 0,75 ℓ

The Schioppettino is produced by the Friulian company I Clivi, founded in the 90s in Gramogliano, near Corno di Rosazzo, in the province of Udine. The company manages two vineyards, populated by both white and red native vines. The first is Galea, found in the DOC Colli Orientali del Friuli, in Corno di Rosazzo in the province of Udine. The second is the Brazan vineyard, located in Collio Goriziano in Brazzano di Cormons. The pure Schioppettino grapes are vinified in thermo-controlled steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. The refinement takes place on the fine lees in the same containers. Ruby red in colour, the wine opens to the nose with aromas of red fruits, cherry, watermelon and with spicy notes of licorice and pepper. The sip is fresh and slender, medium structured and with a delicious spicy finish. It goes well with savory red meat and game dishes, such as roast pheasant.
