Three - Constantia GlenConstantia Glen 's Three shines with great depth of color. A bright dark purple core is enclosed by a youthful rusty brown rim. The nose promises depth and concentration. It is filled with a complex array of blackberry, spice and dark plum nuances underpinned by an expressive red berry scent. The dark fruit aromas of the bouquet also spread in the mouth. The full-bodied palate shows an incredibly juicy texture of ripe, velvety tannins. It has a wonderful structure that comes from the fine-grained tannins and a beautiful balance that it achieves thanks to the refreshing minerality. It is rounded off by a long, soft finish. We recommend it with roasted venison medallions served with parsnip puree with sweet blackberry jus, with grilled lamb chops seasoned with rosemary salt, and with a slow-cooked leg of lamb served with mashed potatoes and sautéed carrots in a rich sauce.
