Vinification of Bernard Massard Elbling The basis for this elegant Elbling from Luxembourg is grapes of the Elbling variety. In the Luxembourg Moselle, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on slate soils. After the grape harvest, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
