This Portuguese red wine cuvée is fruity and balanced on the palate with notes of vanilla and oak. This red wine has a pleasant acidity with soft tannins. Vinification for the Periquita Reserva VR by José Maria da Fonseca This cuvée is made from Castelão, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca grape varieties. Fermentation takes place for about 7 days at a controlled temperature of 28°Celsius on the skins, then this wine is aged for 8 months in French and American oak barrels.
