Zelen Classic Vipavska Dolina Zgp - Guerila Wines

Zelen means 'green' in Slovenian and is derived from the emerald green colour of the grape must. It is a local variety that is mainly found in the Vipava Valley, but today it is only grown on a few hectares, although estimates suggest that less than 100 hectares are cultivated. It is not only because of the name that a relationship to Verduzzo Friulano from neighbouring Friuli is suspected. Green gold in the glass, with plenty of Mediterranean herbal spices: bay leaf, rosemary, thyme and lavender. Complex with a grippy structure thanks to the contact with the skins.
