In 1994 he launched the Robert Mondavi Private Selection, his personal selection of Californian favorite wines. Vint is their refresh in the usual premium quality, Mondavi's new-old best of California. From silky Chardonnay to Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet. To develop their lively fruit and gentle tannins to the maximum, the grapes are destemmed, fermented in stainless steel tanks and, after an extended mash storage, aged in French oak. Vint California Merlot seduces with its juicy and full-bodied taste, gentle power and delicious aromas of ripe cherries, plums, raspberries, sweet spices and a hint of mocha.
