The Grande Cuvée Mas des Quernes' is a concentration of the best terroirs. The Carignan, Mourvèdre and Grenache berries are picked at their full organoleptic potential. The vinification is a mixture of aging in stainless steel, concrete and barrels. Aging in 225-litre barrels for 12 months, plot by plot. This is followed by careful assemblage 18 months after the harvest. The 2020 vintage is one of the earliest ripening in recent years. The good and dry weather conditions from July to September made it possible to harvest the grapes at the best possible ripeness. Lots of dark fruits such as sweet cherries and blackberries on the nose. The tannins are noticeable in the mouth, but already quite well integrated. In addition to the fruit notes, there is also some tobacco, sandalwood and dark chocolate. A wonderful balance between power and freshness; opulence and elegance. A great expression of the Terrasses du Larzac region with a lot of potential.
