St. George Cuvée Badacsonyi - Gilvesy

Saint George, or rather the mountain named after him, which dominates the wine region on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, in Hungarian Szent György-hegy, was the inspiration for the name of this cuvée. Accordingly, an image of the holy dragon slayer adorns the front label. A slim, drinkable introduction to the world of mineral wines by Robert Gilvesy. Smoky on the nose at first, then quite fruity with notes of peach, ripe apple and citrus on the palate. Furmint is complemented by two Riesling varieties. Rajnai Rizling (Rhine Riesling) and Olaszrizling (Welschriesling), which are only similar in name but not related to each other. Fermentation and aging of the wine takes place in a mixture of steel tanks and 500l oak barrels.
