Ferghettina Franciacorta DOCG Brut Magnum 1,5 ℓ, In Holzkiste

Ferghettina's Franciacorta Brut represents the soul and style of this splendid sparkling wine reality. The Chardonnay grapes, mainly, and Pinot Noir are pressed into whole bunches in an extremely delicate way, and only the free-run must obtained from the first pressing is transformed into the wine of the cuvée. The wine rests until the following spring and is then bottled for the second fermentation. Ageing on the lees lasts for 24 months. Its colour is straw yellow and has a fine and persistent perlage. The scent is very elegant, with notes of hazelnut and slight hints of sweet fruits, and on the palate the perceptions had on the nose are reconfirmed and remain constant until the mouth ends in a sip of freshness. This bubble goes perfectly with delicate first courses and second courses based on fish, even raw. Also recommended with shellfish.
