Ciavolich's Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Fosso Cancelli is a wine that expresses the dedication and tradition of the company. Made with 100% Montepulciano grapes, it comes from the oldest vineyards of the Loreto Aprutino estate. The name Fosso Cancelli derives from the ditch that delimits the vineyards where the grapes are harvested. Manual harvesting, pressing in an ancient press and fermentation in concrete tanks without temperature control, using indigenous yeasts, give the wine a distinctive and traditional character. The wine is then bottled and aged for at least 3 years. The color is intense ruby red, with aromas of black cherry, liquorice and ethereal hints. The palate is characterized by balanced tannins and a pleasant freshness. This Montepulciano is an ideal companion for dishes based on red meats and mature cheeses.
